Industry 4.0

Techedge | May 25, 2016

Techedge, FESTO and Alleantia are proud to introduce Open Integrated Factory I4.0 ,the new integrated solution for predictive diagnostic and maintenance of industrial machineries.

Open Integrated Factory I4.0, currently showcased at SPS IPC Drives Italia 2016, is based on the integration between SAP HANA® and the advanced sensor system FESTO CPX, using the IoT Scada Server by Alleantia – all installed directly on the industrial machinery of FESTO.

This solution was realized thanks to the effective collaboration between Techedge, FESTO and Alleantia, with the objective to create something unique in the Industry 4.0 landscape.

Festo is a world leading supplier of pneumatic and electrical automation technology, and a market leader in technical training and development. Being a pioneer in Industry 4.0, Festo offers products, systems and services surrounding pneumatic and electrical control, both in the factory and process automation sector – such as CPX, the innovative platform for Motion & Control designed to enhance the Smart Factory productivity through the combination of electromechanical systems, sensors and digital connectivity.

Alleantia is a renowned provider of solutions specifically designed for Industry 4.0 and IoT applications in Smart Manufacturing and Smart Systems. Their innovative XPANGO technology allows to integrate more than 3,600 industrial devices and PLC controllers into the Web in a few seconds, in plug & play mode thanks to simple ready-to-use interfaces, allowing companies to implement their own Smart Factory in the shortest time and with a reduced economic effort.

Leveraging the powerful computing capacity of SAP HANA®, Techedge was able to build interactive dashboards that allows real-time monitoring of the system performance. The real-time analysis enables the system itself to perform predictive self-maintenance by fitting the collected data into specific modeled patterns; the real-time monitoring also allows to automate the restocking of raw materials. In this way, a consistent reduction of setup times as well as the minimization of production downtimes is achieved.

Open Integrated Factory I4.0, shows how Information Technology can successfully converge with Production & Operations, integrating operational information on a new generation platform. This represents a step ahead in the broader picture of Industry 4.0, the ongoing revolution in the manufacturing industry  where smart sensors, Internet of Things and Internet of Services are enabling new integrated scenarios, made of intelligent networks of devices capable of self-optimization and real-time decisions.

Open Integrated Factory I4.0 will be showcased at  FESTO stand (Booth #3 Stand B036 – C036): don’t miss the chance to experience true Industry 4.0
